LEESBURG, Va., July 7, 2022 – The newest location of Rebellion Bourbon Bar & Kitchen is set to open in historic Leesburg, Virginia with a grand opening on Friday July 8, 2022 at 5pm. The celebration will be open to the public and commemorated with a ribbon cutting that will be attended by Leesburg Mayor Kelly Burk, town officials and the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce. The space will occupy the historic building at 1 North King Street.
The opening follows an extensive transformation of the space at the corner of King and Market which has undergone a full renovation focused on preserving as much of the historic interior as possible. The three-story building will offer a first-floor bar, a second-floor dining room, and a members-only cigar room on the third. The cigar room will be the first of its kind in Leesburg, and one of only a few in the region.
“When considering options for the new location, Downtown Leesburg was top-of-mind given the history of the region, the close-knit spirit of its residents, and the already rich and vibrant restaurant scene,” said Partner Joel Griffin. “Rebellion will add another gathering place where community members can expect an excellent dining experience in a historic environment. We are excited to become part of downtown Leesburg and plan on being an active partner to the local community and surrounding region.”
Rebellion’s menu features a bourbon-inspired, locally sourced menu led by Culinary Director & Executive Chef Declan Horgan. Horgan, originally based in Ireland, is recognized for his range of culinary disciplines, blending disciplines from classic French cuisine to hearty Irish favorites. Across his career, he has led a series of award-winning and renowned restaurants in Paris, Dublin, and the Washington D.C. metro area. He also placed as a finalist in Hell’s Kitchen (Season 19) and competed in Guy’s Grocery Games.
Following the grand opening at 5pm on Friday, July 8, the hours of operation for the Leesburg location will be Sunday-Thursday 11:30-12am, Friday and Saturday 11:30-2am. Reservations are accepted. The restaurant will also be available for private party rentals and full buyout.
